i am thinking about buying two 12" alpine R's what kind off amp should i push them with and are these subs a good sub or should i look at a nother brand of speaker
kenwood 9251d 1800w sounds the bollocks wiv my pioneer n there on 4ohm

i got mine 2 R's powered at 200+ Watts each off of a mono kicker amp and they still pound hard! Sealed box..trunk rattles like crazy. Mine are the 2003 type-r, RMS at 300Watts. The 2005 are 500RMS with type-x tech.
1000 to 1500 will be fine, they will take quite a bit of power.
i'd go with either amp Rovin mentioned or a JL 1000/1. if you go with thoes, i'd get the dual 2 ohm subs and wire them down to 2 ohms. i think thats the lowest thoes amps will go.
