Hello, Im having a slight problem with my car stereo. When I start the electrics (before starting engine) the stereo works fine. However since yesterday when i start the engine, the stereo cuts out completely. I have had a look at the wiring, but it seems ok. It doesn't make any sense to me, so any help would be appreciated. The car had has a new alternator installed last month, so that should be ok.
thanks

It sounds like a problem with the ignition wire (red) not sending any power while the car is on.

Hey, i couldnt figure it out, so went to the garage and they told me that it was the cars ignition that was cutting out (where the key goes in, not centrally). He said i COULD get it chaged or what I can do it re-route the constant battery wire (yellow) on the stereo and link it into the red (alternate power) coming in from the car.
And it worked. Now the stereo is always working, no probs. hope this helps someone.
