Any one out there run in to issues about hu getting extreamly hot after a long trip. however no aparent draw on the power lines no fuses lost. the hu jest get's so hot the cd's come out smoking. hu is installed 98 full size savana van. I personally thing not enough air dispersment. I'am I barking up the right tree never ran into this but cust is bitchen.
Yeah, the heatsink probably isn't getting proper ventillation. In that case it might be best to get a head unit that has a rear mounted heatsink if the one you have is side mounted and vice versa.
After about two hours most headunits do get extremely hot-which obviously isn't good, but can be a normal thing.
