i had the CDT HD 642's, the 3 way set, they sounded pretty good. receintly changed to the JL XR 653 3 ways and i like them a lot better. that was going from a silk tweeter to a metal tweeter, so depending on which you like the sound of, go with that.

did you double post? But yeah its a good deal, 05 model has the tw-24s silk tweet, the new 06 model has the drt-05 extended range tweet.
Overall I like the XRs better, though HDs are pretty nice. In stock door spots, the CDT will likely give better performance (dependant on vehicle), the JLs are going to need a little more attention to the install.
I have the 2005 CDT HD62 with the tw-24 silk tweeter set right now and thinking about selling them possibly. I have had them for a few months now and they are in mint conditon in my car now powered off a ppi a600.2 / Anybody interested just let me know.
