Just got my sealed 1.3 cu ft box for my new IDMax 12. I have the dual voice coil 4 ohm version. I'm hooking up the sub to my JL 500/1 amp.
Just wanted to doublecheck that I want to wire the voice coils in parallel (1 wire running to both +, and the other wire to both -), so that I can receive a 2 ohm load. This should work, correct?
Also, anyone know off the top of their head what screws I should use to secure the sub in the box? I also have to drill the holes myself, I'm just a little worried about drilling them straight. I was planning on placing the sub in the enclosure, marking off where I need to drill holes, then taking out the sub and carefully slowly drilling them in. Is this the way to go?
