How many amps would i need from an alternater?

Chad Lee Gold Member Username: Bestmankind Los Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 1982 Registered: Oct-05	Posted on Monday, January 23, 2006 - 15:01 GMT you need much more than that. you just said you have 2 amplifiers that have a total of 270amps. that means you need 270 plus whatever you car electricals need. i'd say get a 350amp ho alt and redtop for starter and an extra yellowtop.
