I have two infinity kappa perfect 10.1 4 ohm single voice coil subs in a sealed box under my back seat. I have a Audiobahn a8000t amp. The subs sound good at low volumes but as soon as I trun it up it distorts, The amp is rated at 800 watts @ 2ohms. I know i'm not getting that of of it. My question is, are watts watts, if i'm getting say 200 watts out of this amp, will it sound the same if I got 2oo watts out of a better amp? and does it matter how long the speaker wire is? I have it about 5 feet, i cut to much and than just tucked it under the seat. thanks!!!
