I think the SE is close to the TREO SSi in sq. Its not quite as powerful as the SSi but there pretty close really. Ive only heard SEs in a sealed box though so i might have gotten lucky and heard a great install.

um... the first of all, remember install is key! my comparisons deal with MY INSTALLS; the Avalanche being ported low, and the SEs sealed.

1) SPL, port them around 35hz, i'm sure they will "wang". But in the realm of SQL woofers, they are more oriented towards SQ. They have been compared to the W6v2 by others in SPL and SQ, not me. I've only heard a W6v2 one time. In other words, they get loud and sound very good doing it.

2) Comparing my two setups the Avalanche did go lower and louder. With that being said, the SEs do a great job down low and remain very loud. I like the SEs in the fact they extend much higher, cleaner.
