well I recently hooked up my system and my fuse keeps blowing... the amp will power on for about 3 or 4 seconds then the fuse in the power cord blows... any idea why this happens?
Hey, what size is the fuse you keep blowing. Above around 20-30amp u got a problem. Firstly is to double check the power wiring to make sure it is hooked up right and to see if it havnt say chaffed or something and its earthing out. I had this problem with my amp, I had wired it all up and it was working for about a week ok untill the amp blew up. From then the amp itself was just shorting the (+) and (-) somehow. I opened the amp up and found some MOStransistors not working and replaced them, when i hooked it up the blowing of the fuse was fixed but it still didnt work (must be another chip or something stuffed) anyway what i am saying is that the amp itself might be stuffed like mine.
