When i have it turned to about 1/2 my norml volume it sounds ok just not loud enough, when i turn it up on the hard hits it sounds like its hitting too hard and makes a dirty sound why is that?
probably gain/bass boost is set too high on the amp. Sounds like you are clipping the amp and causing the sub to distort. You better back down a bit if you want your sub to last. What kind of gear do you have?
