I just left my vehicle to have my amp and subs put in. I'm trying to use the a kicker amp(1200x1) to push two audiobahn AW1206T. The guy is saying that they will not hook up the amp at one ohm, because it is not stable beyond 30 45 seconds. He is telling me that he can get 600 to 700 watts to each sub, wiring at 4 ohm. Is this correct? Or, can this amp consistantly run at one ohm, and I'm going to have to rewire it?
i had him look it up in his book, and he said that was for competition sound and only good for short bursts. He also said that kicker wouldn't warranty it at 1 ohm.
As far as I can tell, if he wires it at 4 ohm, I'm only going to be getting 300 total watts. I guess I'll have it rewired to one ohm.
