Hey guys, i just built a box right, and its not as deep as i had hoped, its a little flat and it is a little high pitch, not high high, just not normal bass.
Any ideas on what could be wrong and how to fix it,
Cheers
Dan.

Make sure no air is leaking from the enclosure. If it's ported, make sure the tuning frequency is appropriate for the type of music and subwoofer. Little more info wouldn't hurt.

Make sure volume of the enclosure matches the specifications set by the subwoofer manufacturer.

like Jeremy said:

What kind of sub, and size do you have?
How man cuft did you build your box too?
Is the box ported, sealed, bandpass?
Type of wood and thickness?
Sealed all around tightly?
If ported, what is it tuned to?

Bit more info and we should be able to give you a clearer answer.
