well, i don't know your woofers, but heres an example of a pair of dual 4 ohm woofers wiredlike you said. VC's in series, Woofers in parallel. (2nd picture)

i know, that is the same wiring option in the link i gave you above.

look at the link above and tell me what wires are going to the right side of the sub (+ and -) because they are not showing those + and - wired to the

they are 2 12's dual 4 ohm

and on the picture i just dont get how you wire the right sides of both subs... because no speaker wire is coming from the amp to the right side of those subs in the diagram.

but i have (2) dual voice coil 4 ohm subs. so i would wire the vc in series and the subs in parallel to get a 4 ohm load

my question is:

in my link, on the ride side of each sub, there is nothing coming from the amp to the right side of the subs.

why does it show just a ( line showing + and - on the endpoint of each line with it showing that it isnt hooked up to anything.....

thanks rovin but i am trying to explain it best i can.

Upload - this ?

the green wire wire is completing the series circuit

an amp has only 2 wires so if u put a wire from the amp onto that it will result into a different load ohm cause the remaining amp wire will have to go into the 2 other free terminals - hope that helps ....

yea it shows the green arrow isnt connecting anywhere on the amp, its just like floating... lol

in above scenarion - NO , no need to

but i'm wondering why do u want to run ur (2) 4ohms dvc subs into that amp bridged for ?

ur amp is a 2chan & does
800 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
400 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

so if u run 1 sub/chan its = to doing it bridged ! & the wiring is so much simpler like this >>>Upload

but i dont want to put a 4 ohm load on my amp because it puts out 800 watts at 4 ohms and i want 400 watts rms going to each of my subs.

This is the wiring diagram for woofers with dual 4 ohm voice coils. This will give you a 4 ohm load. The voice coils of each individual speakers are wired in series. This gives each speaker an 8 ohm impedance. Wiring them in parallel will present the amp with a 4 ohm load.

i have asked numerous people in this forum and everyone said this is def. the best way to wire it. including chancey, glasswolf etc...

so in this case, the blue wire isnt connecting to the amp? its connecting the sub to complete the series connect... is this right?

yea. i couldnt get that picture on this for some reason. it wasnt uploading...

why doesnt the blue wire on the other picture have to connect to the amp?? that just seems weird to me for some reason. why would it connect to itself?

by the way, thanks rovin: i wanted to get this cleared up for my friend who wants me to wire his subs

all that blue wire is doing like i said b4 is that its simply completing a circuit - just do it like in ur pic & don't about it & it'll be fine ...
