Im having a problem with my Jl e1200 amp. It keep on goin into protection mode even though my gain are all the way down and speaker wire are not connected. What could be the problem? my ground, power wire and remote are all correct. Can Someone help Please
check rcas, jump a new set and see if it does it, if so the amp has gone bad...

Some amps are not ok being powered on without the speakers being connected. Connect the speakers and turn it on again. If it still goes into protrect mode, make sure the power wire and/or power screw is not physically touching the amp body anywhere (you'd be surprised how often this happens, even though everything appears normal).
JL amp dun use fuse, and when i connect the speaker to the sub, it make a popping noise. Cannot be the rca, i use my other amp and it work fine. It might be a intural problem. ANyone noe a cheap place to repair amp. If i ship it to Jl Audio and tell them to fix it, it cost more then a new amp
