this alternator is 200a
@ idle is puts out 200a
thats rare for an alternator to do that!
it does what its supposed too....
my idle is 1000 rpm

my alternator case is way bigger than my the old one. Its in a custom large case; its hard to see, but its actually taller and wider.

what make someone system is the alternator. thats what it comes down too.
if the current isnt there, then your system is not LOUD!
its no simpler way to put it...

Sean, that 60a alternator prob puts out like 25-30a @ idle.

U can get 1 from Nathan for under 300$
it all depends on your vehicle though.
U may not be able to even get 200a for a Nissan Sentra. The best way to get at Nathan, is from is email addy...

Its the best investment for your system!

i ended up going with Iraggi, it'll be here tomorrow, looking forward to driving my car again, lol. it was $378 shipped 2 day air for a 200 amp, 110 at idle.

Chad
0 ga REQUIRED!
4 ga will NOT pass 200a!!

nothing less than 2ga

Bryn 265 shipped was a great price!

Brandon, Nathans IDLE amps would have been atleast 130amps @ idle for his regular HO alternators.

yea, 0ga made a huge difference compared to 4ga.
my volt meter on instrument cluster, dont jump around no more! But I did add a second battery in the trunk, no isolator or nothing, my HO alternator keeps them both charged, and gives my system plenty of juice!
I can run lights, heat, and BASS. lol

4ga limits the current flow alot! when u are pushing that many amps. especially if u have long pwr wire!

when you added your second battery did you just run a 0ga from the positive of the first battery to the positive to the second? and just ground the second battery to the chassis?

0ga from 1st battery to distribution blocks
both pos & neg

2 dist blocks

I then used 4ga to distribution blocks, pos, neg
on second battery. the wires are short, less than 2 feet!

So everything meets together at the distribution blocks. I have a 200a fuse on the 0ga wire (main batt), and a 80a fuse on the 4ga wire (2nd batt) I believe.

both amps also meet the distribution blocks:
my 1000d using 0ga which it takes
and my 200.2 using 4ga which it takes
