i just read this somewhere and i thought it was kinda interesting.

20dB: Ticking watch
30dB: Quiet wisper
40dB: Refrigerator hum
50dB: Rainfall
60dB: Normal conversation
70dB: Normal street noise
80dB: Noisy Restraunt
85dB: Average factory
100dB: Blow dryer, subway train
105dB: Chainsaw, power mower
120dB: Rock concert
130dB: Jet engine (100' away)
140dB: Shotgun blast
170+dB: Sound off-bass burp

Earplugs are recommended for sounds of 85dB or above.

so my car s getting louder than a rock concert kinda seems wrong cause i leave concerts feeling completely deaf unless its outside then i would believe it

but charlie how do you know your daily listening dB is 120. i am sure it can get louder than that with your system but do you have the volume that loud all the time?

i alwasy have mine up all the way unless i am 2 mins from my parking location i am preety sure i am going deaf though and it has to be louder than that never got it measured though so but 2 10" thunder 7500's they get loud but dont sound good

chad after you break ur subs in get them metered...im curious to see what your Xs are at.

I did 146.5 on the dash with a TL. After my hockey season is over im going to try and get it up to 148-149.

i'll try. i am still looking for a place where i can get my car metered.

i am however thinking about getting the term-lab usb system. i know its expensive but it would be pretty cool to have one.

but if i had a meter i wouldn't mind testing out ppl's sh!t .........
