I have a "Mosfet" amp (yes XPLOD), it says "mosfet reduce distortion" is that true?

Will that reduce my amp from getting into clipping?

Not true. Bipolar transistors are more linear and offer lower distortion.

clipping is controlled by the user (gain setting). You can clip a Mcintosh just as easily as a Pyramid.

yup. mosfets are good for power supplies. bipolars are good for output stages.
if you really want to know more about transistors in amplifiers this might help.. the first section covers all of that.
