hey im a newbie, not to car audio but to this forum.
i want to put some highs in my car.i want to know if you could wire this.

lets say we have an amp of 120rms x 4 @4ohms

i dont want components!!if each channel of the 4 channel amp is used to power a coaxial and a seperate tweeter and they are both rated at 4ohm.

does that mean the amp is powering them at 4ohm but is just powering 60rms to the each one?

or is the amp running at 2ohms or something?

so your saying if i run the 4ch amp to 8 4ohm speakers the amp will run at 2ohms?

which means that at 2ohms the amp will provide twice the power which will be 240rms x 4 @2ohms
but since its 8 speakers its more like 120 x 8 @2ohms.right?

what 8 speakers, 2 sets of tweeters and 2 sets of speakers, if so then yes, run 1 tweeter(with a bass blocker) on each channel with the speaker. it will provide a 2ohm load per channel on the amp. it will produce wattage x 4@2ohms....

yes, those tweeters have a crossover, but the specs say 18db/oct even though with just an inline cap it can only be 6db/oct. Then again, with a brand like cuspid you have to expect lies.

yeah i know those tweeters suck but they can get extremely loud.

i still dont know if the rms is always exactly doubled at 2ohms or is it just increased a bit.

The 4 channel amps never show their rms rating when it is 4 x ? @2ohms.

its theoretically doubled at 2ohms. but in reality, 2 ohms will be close to double RMS output than 4 ohms.

dude i personally herd those tweeters and dam i was suprised, they are loud and ok sounding for the price.and u only need to power it off the deck.it has a 25 watt max at 4 ohms.if u wanna run it higher then 25 watts u need to add a 15-ohm/20 resistor on the positive wire.but dude dont let these tweeters fool you they sound good especially for that price and thats all that matters.

i already know that max doesnt matter. rms is what counts.its just that it doesnt say rms.i thought it was around 100rms. lol

but yeah, i just opened them and it say 25 rms max.

do you know how to connect them to the deck. i got 5 pairs off ebay for like 18bucks but i only want to use two pairs. im not really sure how to connect them.
