she took it because she didn't realise that she already had hers on her car... i don't know how she didn't see her tag, because she put my 06 on top of her 06...

It ought to peel. The tag is stiff enough that it shouldn't tear if you try to peel it off.

You can try a razor, you can also try to squirt some soapy water in there to wet the adhesive. Once it dries, it'll stick again.

Heres an idea;

Ask your Mom!

If she was able to get it off of your license plate, then she knows a way how.

BTW,

Removing license plate registrations off of other cars and putting it on another license plate is illegal. It is a federal offense.

On a lighter note;

If you cannot remove "your" registration sticker off of your moms car, then just go to the DMV and get a new one. Say someone stole yours. They will check your records, and then if everything is ok they will issue you a new sticker for like a $10 fee of course.

Merry Christmas!

Being a license plate collector, I know exactly how to get those those buggers off. First thing is to take the plate off the car, then, using a hair dryer, heat up the sticker. While heating up the sticker, get under it with a DULL blade. if you're careful, it should come off in one piece. If it stretches, run it under hot water, it should take its regular shape almost instantly. Good luck!
