His HU is a cruddy sony and they dont tell you what the preout voltage is for it I looked through the entire manual, so I set his gain at 2 volts cuz thats what most lower end stuff is but idk if that was a good idea or not. I was thinking if I hook up my DMM to it and put it on AC voltage I might be able to find out what it is like that. You think thats a good idea or is there anything else I can do?
