this forum really sucks when accepting pictures, I had the correct file dimmensions but not the file size. lol
I recomend using Microsoft Office Picture Manager, then compress for webpage viewing. Easiest way, unless you have better software. But this will only work if you have Office XP installed.

Okay, Sorry for the wait, here are the long awaited pictures of my subs, finally got a pack of batteries.

Everything is currently out of my car till I hook it all back up maybe next week. Im in the proccess of tinting out the vehicle by myself!

I had the 12, sounded so darn good I traded them in for the big boy 15s. The 12s were amazing, so I know these will kill them! I plan on adding another 1000prd so each sub will have its own 1000 rms. But untill then, here is what I have...

This box is also so freaking BIG (heavy too)!!!
7 & 1/2 cubic inches, Now I have NO more trunk!!
These things can only fit in there 1 way!! and only 1 way to get it out, lol!
they will have to face towards the cab, facing the back seat. ohh well, still got 15s. lol
Everything inside the box is wired with Monster Wire! I got a whole roll for free so I used it. DMM reads a low resistance of 1ohm!

yep alex. The price is like $400 a piece I think retail! Muddy had a price list I think. But my local dealer hooked me up, I traded in my 12"subs; credited 320 + 100 difference.
Not bad for 2 15s... The 12s sounded like 15s, people would ask what the F was in my trunk. I never tried RE but Treo is all I need hear right now. I think they are better or equall to RE. They are just harder to get, you must buy from a local dealer, or contact them @ www.treoonline.com

lol, sorry it took so long Rovin.
This box was bigger than I expected! It exceeds the requirements for a aggresivly ported box in the manual! I think It will sounds sweet. Port is huge!
Cant wait to hook it all up with dual battery setup and HO alternator!

so like u used the max rec specs then !? ......

i've never done a 'dual' 1 port box like what u did - would it be louder in any way if each sub had its own separate port on each end of a box or no real audible difference ?......

i can't get time 2 finish my install due 2 it being xmas wk so maybe xmas/boxing day i will work on my stuff , only got 2 do my comps install on my doors so far - will leave u with a taste .........Upload

Nice, neat install right there. You drill whole for that tweeter? So you got all your parts now, just waiting to install?
I think the port config is just as loud, this is the bigger version box to the 12inch box I had.

Well as of now it is hooked up to my stereo but its only gettin about 200 watts. It does get movin but the spider is still extremely stiff so after that loosens up we'll see. Im gonna hook it up to my friends car tomorrow and see how it does. However his amp only pushes 300 watts @ 4 ohms. We'll be comparing it to his type R. I think even though its gonna be underpowered by a large amount I should still be able to own his Type R. Im not sure what amp im gonna get for it. I have someone offering me a JBl bp.1200.1 for a nice price I might take it when i get alittle more cash.

B

that tweet is surface mounted with just a single screw but of course i drilled a hole @ the back of it 4 the wire to go through. I had 2 cut a hole with a jigsaw 2 fit that 6.5" though cause my ride had no speakers in its rear doors .

Yea - i received all my stuff about 10 days ago but as u know installs do take time if u want it done neat/proper .......

okay bassmanmike, i just said that so you will be carefull when u hook it up!
Eddie, I got my alternator from Excessive Amperage!
The HO alternator is in a large case, which is very very hard to fit on most cars.
It is 200a and it puts out 200 amps @idle. Just like an alternator should work! They should do what they are rated @ at idle!
It will even increase the engine rpms, when its demanded from! I idle @ 900rpm, but It could jump to 1100!
My factory was only 105a but it would put that out @ maybe 2500 rpm!
I love my new HO ALT, my amps are very happy also! No more clipping!!!

Rovin that door install is d@mn clean! You cut the hole your self!! I would have thought that was a factory install by the positioning of the speaker!
GREAT job. you just gave me an idea for my back doors ROVIN!
I may try that next yr!
I bet those speakers sounds crystal clear.

sounds good, im trying to find a HO alt for my new saturn i just bought, i was supposed to get a 2005 explorer from my bro , but he bought my mom a car instead a 05 mustang not complaining though my mom s happier than ever, and this is my first car thats 100 % mine, so yeah im happy, but i need a new alt, mine only puts out 97 amps prob at like 2500 rpms too lol, so yeah if you know of a site or place thats cheap, im gonna be running 1000 watts rms for subs and 400 rms for mids and highs so i was thinking of a 200 amp alt cuz its always good to have head room but yeah anyhelp would help

nice pics rovin, i want to get some type r's, prob in like a few months though moneys tight so yeah ill have to stick with my 2 h0m0 lanzar hrwDC12's and my vibe 1800d
each sub takes 1000 watts rms, but amp only puts out 1000 watts rms so only half powering them, but i always wondered what 2 type r's would sound like off my lanzar 1800d so first ill buy the subs and play them off that amp then when i get more money ill invest in a kicker 1200 or orion 1200 but untill then lanzars :-(

B - yea i did it with a cheap black & decker jigsaw . I have about 100 pics that i took out during my install that i'm keeping 2 show off when i get it all done . I have my 4 comps running off a power acoustik old amp temporary until i fix everything right .
Thanx 4 the compliment - thats pretty close to what Chad lee / Chauncey/ Young James & Charlie all said ..

Inspite of ppl insisting that rearfill speakers r not necessary - believe me u still do hear em ...

I got some pics of my other equipment b4 install too - will post em in a few minutes .......

Eddie go here: http://excessiveamperage.com/
200a will be enough!
Im adding a second batt with mines, just because.

ok cool Rovin, those pictures are very nice, Sony makes 1 of the best digital cameras, my buddy got 1 from Japan, and its not over here in the US. It has a Red Digital Flash!
Rovin, looks like you are not pressed for room to work! I wish I had a garage or something now! lol
Just take your time, and get everything together, how you would want it to be!
I like my rearfill speakers, and with all the bass from the back, I can still hear my 6*9s.
Post pics when you are ready.

hey thanks b looks awesome, i just need to save a lil just bought my 1997 saturn sc1, it has a clarion deck in it now and im just waiting a lil to hook up my subs and amp, list is in above comment but yeah i want some type r's bad, but for now im trying to save instead of buying on impulse and buying the setup i have now, it was an ok deal though, got subs and amp for 400 box and 4 gauge kit and install for 120, so its an ok system beats hard and clear prob only beacuse im powering the subs 50 % of what they take, so as soon as i give them more watts ill really hear what they sound like, CRAP!!!!, but for now its cool, but does anyone now of a place i can get some type r's for cheap instead of ebay, got ripped off first time buying on ebay and have'nt found the courage to buy from again, any help greatly appreciated

Rovin those amps look sweet, the MBquarts looks very sophisticated! I like the heatsink design.
The Alpine amp is the second pic right?

Rovin I need your HU, lol
NO really, I need to buy a good 1, but im satisfied with the old Alpine. Still plays cds.

eddie best way is to take your time, and spend wisely, get the best products, I rather wait 3 mnths and get the subs I want than settle for something 1/3 the price! Also when u spend good money, u get good warranties!!! and your not stuck with the same!

yep - haven't tested out either as yet

didja notice the 'made in korea' sticker , heck my Inf comps r made in Vietnam -lol

yesterday i installed speaker carpet on the board 2 go behind my seat that both amps & fuse block will be mounted on .

Have tested out the deck though & its subs out rca jacks really do filter out very good thats y i don't intend 2 run any xover in my set up + that deck has a built in 13 band EQ so no need really 4 any xover .
My ride stock alt is only 80A so next yr i will have 2 get a ho alt 2 really get the most out of this system .........
