Silver Member Username: Alex_fLawrenceburg, Ky Us Post Number: 263 Registered: Nov-05 | okay, iv asked a lot of questions about diff subs, but im pretty sure about this 1. there is this guy that is selling me an old dd 9012 for 240 shipped. he barely used it. like 25 hours. its magnet is like 50oz smaller than a 9500. would this sub get loud, and could dd recone it with a 9500 cone? the guy who sellin it called dd and the dd worker said it had the same coils as a 9500 |

Next, the Bl of the 9000 is quite a bit lower than the 9500. But, it still has a very strong motor. The soft parts are completly different though. Also, this woofer will have push-down spring loaded terminals, where as all newer DD have the directr connect feature. Again, this is still a great woofer. I've had a set of 9012's (4 of them) for.....hmmm?, ten years or so now? Either way, I've had them for a long time. Never had any problems until the amps I had running them dc'd and smoked the coils a few years back. All 4 of them are in need of re-cone. They were loud. At 240 thats very good buy, go for it.
