Looking at:

-2 12" RE XXX
-2 12" JL 10w7
-2 13.5" JL 13w6v2
-2 12" Diamond Audio D9
-2 12" Eclipse Titanium

Looking for a solid mix of sq/spl

thanks casey, a friend recently told me due to the draw of the 1000/1 amplifier, i'll need to upgrade alternators, is this necessary?

yep with 1000 watts you're going to need go upgrade the alternator

Personally, I'd go with the Eclipse. The Eclipse will get really loud and retain some very good SQ at the same time...

But the RE XXX would be a good choice also...

whats a "ho alt" and "big 3 wiring"??

I know what an alternator is but I have never heard the term "ho"

high output alternators
used for large amounts of power- idk any websites but im sure there around here somewhere

RE does not sell the xxx anymore so go w/ sx in the group buy great price still have money for maybe some components with that budge

Would a kx2500.1 be a good amp to run to a pair of TI's? I heard they only perform well in sealed enclosures.

well u know that depends on what you like
sound qualtiy= go with sealed
loudness(spl)= go ported
but as far as how they perform in certain boxes is going to be different it is also going to sound different

I would personally go with the diamond d9's, i had one in a ported box in my car (small compact car) and it hit hard enough for me, AND it sounded really good. I have heard them in sealed boxes and jeez, no comparison to those things. The eclipse's are nice, but the SQ that the diamonds give, nothing at all compares in my opinion.

What about the Idmax guys.lol, 2 me they sound better then ti's, w7, and d9's (sq only)
