This would be my first system so i have no idea if this would hit or even if i have the watts all match up... but here it is:

my speaker: Diamond Audio D312D4
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5527.html

my amp: Audiobahn A8000T Intake Series
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_72.html

box: any 12' box will work....(does the box even matter?)

Is that the correct wattage on the sub and amp?
Is that around the best i can get for my money?
Does the box matter?
Would this hit at all?
and please any other suggestions would be appreciated

if you want that amp you need either dual 2ohm or single 4 ohm subs

That would be a good setup, if you had a chance i'd spend a little more money and get the diamond d3600.1 amp instead of the audio bahn one. That sub sounds REALLY good and it hits.

On the diamond amp, it is one ohm stable, a lot of people would recommend you to run a single dual two ohm sub or 2 dual four ohm sub, BUT i would recommend you run that dual 4 ohm sub or 2 dual 2 ohm subs, the main reason i recommend that way is becuase it is easier on the amp, and also the ohm ratings are never perfectly 2 ohms or 4 ohms, they are usually a little bit less, no one can make it perfect.

That way if you have a dual 4 ohm sub it might dip below one ohm and put a lot of load on the amp.

The link you gave, i persoanlly wouldn't run it. If you are good with wood, and you want a lot of output, jsut goto the diamond website and you can get the dimensions of the box off of there. Build it yourself, will run around 40 - 50 bucks for materials that's providing if you have a staple gun, and air tools.
