I have just written 6 mp3 albums on to a CD-RW and the head unit will not play it. It comes up with the message error 23 which in the manual says the CD format cannot be played. Can anyone help me out.

CD-RW isn't commonly read by CD players. The best it might be able to do is CD-R.

This head unit does allow play back of CD-RW. I have been using them in it for a while for just normal music CD's.

They're the same CD-RWs you've always been using? And what program are you using to burn the CD's?

The files are winamp format and I burnt them using Easy CD Creator 5 Basic using the data CD project.

Not sure if they are the same CD but the CD I have been trying works if I put normal audio files on it.

they are showing as winamp as that is what my computer wants to play them in. where I unhide the format extentions then it shows .mp3.
