RE 12.1 amp and 2 RE se subs, should give your friend a run for his money in both spl and sq.

why are you only considering an 800watt amp? The type R's are 500wrms a piece so you would need an amp that pushes 1000wrms. I'm not sure on the power rating of thoses re's, but which model was you looking at?

i dont wanna install a new alt
so that amp is too much
i want 4 dual4 re re's
plus im gonna make a custom box for them so i will think they would look awesome

ok i think the re's are dvc 4ohm, so get a kicker kx600.1 or the RE 12.1 would work also wire the subs in series/parrellel to get a 2ohm load that'll be about 150-200 watts to each sub which should make them pound.

kx600.1 sounds good
i cant seem to find the specs for a ported box for the re's

so yall guys think this would sound good
would it be pretty loud

se=600 sx=1000 se=sq sub that still gets pretty loud, sx= really loud sub that still has decent SQ for a SPL sub
