i just recently bought 2 15" MTX 9500's. my friend crashed his car and needed some cash so he sold them both to me for $500. they're in PERFECT condition. now i'm looking for an amp to power them both.

i was thinking the hifonics BX2005D. i know it's not that quality of an amp for these speakers, but i'm looking to spend between $350 and $450.

any suggestions on what kind of an amp would be best for the money?

i don't know where you get your subs at, but around here, that's almost half the price you'd pay for em.

amp to run those is gonna need more than your $400 budget .

a good amp that does around 1000wrms @ 2ohms will run u around around $300 each like a JBL 1200

whats the very most u can spend ????.......

the thing is, that the hifonics is a good amp for the price. and it's rms is exactly the rms on the speakers. so i think i'm probably just going to go with the hifonics.

the hifonics only puts out 70% of the rated power so only 1400 rms not 2000
