I'm planning on getting an ipod soon, and looking for a way to connect it in my car, a '99 honda accord v6. it's still got the factory head unit (cd player only, no tape), and i'm wondering if anyone knows if these head units have rca in's, or knows of a place where i can find out? i would much prefer to connect the pod that way, rather than the unreliable and poor-sounding fm transmitter. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

THERE ARE NO RCA OR ANY INPUTS TO ADD ANOTHER SOURCE TO THE OEM RADIO. THERE ARE A FEW PRODUCTS FROM PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO GAIN A DIRECT CONNECTION FOR YOUR IPOD THOUGH. HERE ARE THE MODEL NUMBERS: PXDP OR PXDX. THE FIRST ONE PLUGS DIRECTLY INTO YOUR IPOD AND ALLOWS YOU TO CONTROL IT FROM YOUR FACTORY RADIO. THERE ARE SOME DRAWBACKS TO THIS TYPE OF CONNECTION THOUGH. MOST OF MY CUSTOMERS DONT LIKE THE WAY THE FACTORY RADIO CONTROLS THE IPOD. SO I RECOMEND THE SECOND ONE. NOW IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS PIECE WORK WITH YOUR CAR (BECAUSE ITS A UNIVERSAL PIECE AND YOU NEED A VEHICLE SPECIFIC ADAPTER HARNESS)YOU WILL ALSO NEED THE PXHHD1. THIS PIECE WITH THE PXDX WILL GIVE YOU AN RCA INPUT SO THEN YOU WILL NEED A RCA TO 1/8TH INCH STEREO PHONO PLUG. I HOPE THIS HELPS
