im going to be getting some jl audio xr650 csi componets sometime in the near future and since their 70wrms i was wondering if putting 100 a piece to them would be too much for daily driving at an hour or so at a time. probablylike a kicker kx200.2 or something for the amp. would that work?

a kicker 200.2 is only gonna give 50 watts at 4 ohms and 13.8 volts. its 100 watts at 2 ohms at 13.8 volts.

so in that case, 50 watts will be fine, lol.

i have the XR 3 ways and they are rated at 70 watts RMS (i find that weird though, should be more) and i'm giving them 150 from a 300/2 and they are fine.

yes, i think theres a kicker model thats 100 watts at 4 ohms, not sure, theres like 6 2 channel models, lol. or you could look at MTX or rockford at about the same price as the kicker.

you can give them extra power as long as it is clean power. distortion will damage speakers.
