What should I do!??

New member Username: Larry21Post Number: 1 Registered: Nov-05 | I have an acura integra and my sound quality is lacking. The previous owner of this had Pioneer 6 1/2 2 way speakers(160 max 30 RMX) in the back and PowerBass extreme(150 max 85 RMS) in the front. I want better bass and I know if i invest in subs/amps im going to need to replace the pioneer speakers in the back due to their low RMS a man told me. My budget is low (400), but EBAY is the way to go for me as long as the item is packaged new. I want good bass but i still want to be able to hear the song without being distorted. I want clean bass without rattling my trunk. ( I listen to Rap/hip hop mostly by the way) Should i just upgrade my 4 speakers hoping i could get some clean bass out of that, or go for the system and keep my costs down? Although I am not knowledgable in Subs/Amps, i do know that i want either Alpine subs, Rockford, Infitity or any other good brands that you might reccommend to me. I am not sure what size the subs i would want (8" pointless?) but any ideas from you guys would be great! Thanks a lot sorry for the long post  |

Silver Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 979 Registered: Oct-05 | if you don't want too much bass then i suggest you go with one sub. you can replace just the four speakers to get nice sound but you are not gonna get the bass you are looking for. |

I saw like a 12" rockford phase 2 on ebay for 100 shipped and a kenwood 2 channel amp on ebay for 130 shipped and a box for like 50 shipped. I want something really nice but try to keep it under 400. I was thinking either 1 12" or 2 10"'s(maybe alpine type E's?) Any suggestions on what to do would be great! |

Silver Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 987 Registered: Oct-05 | how about one tpe R and a kicker kx400.1? you might be slightly under powering the sub a bit but kicker amps are known to put out a little bit more power than their rms. it will sound nice imo. |
