Help me create my system, please

Ok well..... where to start

I have a 89 lincoln towncar and i want some bangs in my trunk that kick these kids systems in the dirt...

im not very knowledgable on car audio equipment so if you could use "lamen" terms i guess

so i might be asking some questions you all find dumb..

but i want my subs to bang extremely hard, but not sound all shi*ty, like ive heard alot of peoples... sounds good on the outside but the inside isnt good, the voice and all is distorted, dunno why that is? not strong enough amp? or just shi*ty sub?

but anyways so money is not a big issue but i dont wanna be spending out my a*s, and i dont wanna lowball the sh*t

i was thinking of getting 2, JL 15W3v2
and erm im not sure even what type of amp i want..

sh*t i dont know if JLs are really worth it... i heard they are good but your paying a sh*tload for the name when you can find just as good for cheaper?

but now, my car currently has 2 6x9's in it, they are pioneers and i got 2 6 1/2's in the their too that are pioneer.... i was told they were pretty good...

i was also told maybe i should get a small amp for the 6x9's and the another one for the 6 1/2's... any ideas on that?

so the subs i want? good idea? bad idea? know any better directions? im always down for saving money.... and then what kinda amp would you suggest with the subs...

also since i think my car is pretty old ima need something for the battery? for all the power in the trunk ima have?

and i also heard something about ways to keep your trunk from rattling, like some type of lining or something (im clueless) haha

and i read somewhere about neon or led lights that "bounce" with the bass levels....

wow seems like i wrote alot... so, thnx in advance for all the help...

Jl is high quality 2 15 w3v2's would sound very good as far as an amp for them you could do the JL 1000/1 if that is too expensive try jbl kicker or mtx you would need a mono amp that does at least 1000 watts. for the pioneers you could get a small amp somthing that puts out about 50x4 it would really helpful if you could look at your speakers and ifnd out their rms. you will definately dynamat or something similar like edead. an optima red top battery under the hood wouldn't hurt either.

ok umm starting with the box for the sub...

ima prolly get the 18"

i listen to rap, and well what do you all think a ported box or a bandpass box?

from my understanding the ported box wont bang as hard as the bandpass but you get more levels of base... is that correct?

so i guess itll just depends on my prefrence... i want it to bang hard, but i dont want it to have the base all sound mono like... i want to be able to distinguish the different levels of base

if you listen to rap... go play "go dj" by lil wayne on your system... and you will know what i mean by levels...

im guessing from how hard alone the sub will bang that the ported box wont dramatically be softer? but yet again then the bandpass wont dramatically have less levels of bass...

i think ill get the ported box... but what do yall think?

i read somewhere that the bigger the sub... like the less responsive it will be...

so like would say the 1, 15" not bang as loud but be more responsive and have more levels of bass as the 18"?

the 18 can move more air, other than that there is not much of a difference. but the 18 can handle the lower notes better. is your trunk big?

it seems the 2 15"s would cost around $800?

Anonymous

If you have 1500 you could get 2 RE SX 15" - $480
Spend about $400-500 on amp(s)
then still have 500 for an alt, wires, box

and blow everybody out of the water

ok... i think i got my system all together, ima be spending more money... but thats ok, will just take a little longer to get...

so what do yall think of this setup, ima get

ima put these in the dash http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CTxK41ByviV/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51200&I=108427I

these in the front door http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CTxK41ByviV/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52000&id=essenti al_info&i=108607CS#Tab

so thats $420 for those....

these in the trunk, 2 RE SX 15" - $480
the amps, 2 re 12.1 - $700-800

one of these yellow top batteries http://www.1st-optima-batteries.com/yellow_top_battery.asp - $200

oh and the wiring for the amp http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CTxK41ByviV/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=711&id=essential _info&i=575CP1P#Tab

so ima need 2 of those? since its for 1 amp and ima eventually have 2? if so thats $300

a box for them, which i make take you up on your offer alex...

now the liquid sound deadener... http://www.fatmat.com/liquids/ dunno how much ill need but ill go with a gallon that $60

and so ill need an amp for the speakers up front, but i dont know what to get any suggestions on that?

and so far i estimated this is gonna cost around 2.3K

so is my setup starting to look complete?
