Regulatig and wiring amp

i have 2 10" memphis 15-mc104 svc 400 watt subwoofers
and a boss 850 watt mono amp what is the best way to wire them and how should i regulate the amp. when i turn up the volume i really don't like the way the woofer hit.you think i might need a bigger amp.

boss amps aren't really that great. your not getting that 850 watts at 2 ohms.(wire the subs in parallel for a 2 ohm load) another amp would sound better. you prob just need to adjust the gains if you say it doesn't sound right when you turn it up. try to turn the amp gain all the way down and turh the HU up to about 3/4 up, then adjust the amp gain until it starts to sound distorted, then turn it down a little bit.

what do you mean by gains sorry not too familiar with this.i currently have them bridged on the amp the only nobs that is has are loss pass wich go from 45-90 and input level nob sys min-max. i'm just looking for a deeper bass.i just don't know if a biggeror better amp would really make that much of a difrence
