if i want to amp my components, and have a different amp for my subs do they need to be the same brand amps, how would i hook up two amps, i know how to hook up one amp, i just put the rcas in the pre out behind the deck to the amp, and remote wire to where it goes, and then run power from batt to amp , then have ground wire go from amp to metal. but how do i hook up another amp for my mids and highs? any help would be graetly appreciated
they don't have to be the same. it'll need its own set of RCA's from the HU pre out. you can use a distribution block to power the amp, if your current run into the block is large enough for the added current draw. and you can ground both amps in the same spot. Y the remote lead to both amps. make the speaker connections, adjust gains and tune everything and you should be good.
also make sure you have the electrical system to support another amp.
