That is a replacement speaker for old systems that used paper cone woofers. The magnet is not that big because it doesnt need a big magnet for the weight of that cone. Paper is much lighter than polly/alluminum/magnesium, etc...

It is a relatively high efficiency woofer at 91 dB for the application it is used for.

Remember this is not a quality speaker. It is probably used in a P/A system and or integrated designs such as Fisher, Sounddesign; stuff that doesnt exist anymore.

It is just a replacement woofer.

The amount of SPL some guys build in their systems on this forum; this 12" woofer would make a great mid-bass driver for you. You would probably need like two sets of paralell-series quads. At 80 watts rms and 91 dB each, these puppies would rock between 70-600 Hz.

exactly Mix those subs are actually quite loud when used in the proper application. Yes they dont have a ultra low FS but like mix said between 50-600 hz they do get pretty loud, and dont need much of an enclosure to do it.
