Ohms question

I was looking at an amp that said:

Power Output @ 2 Ohm 300 watts x 2
Power Output @ 4 Ohm 200 watts x 2
Bridged Power @ 4 Ohm 600 Watts x 1

My question is, wouldn't the watts at 4 Ohms be the same wheather it's bridged or not? Like... At 4 ohms it's 200W x 2, which is 400W, but it says 600W x 1 at 4 Ohms bridged, why is that? Where does that extra 200 W go?

Bridging sums the 2 channels together, it presents the load at half of what it actually is... that may be worded wrong but what I'm saying is that when you bridge the amp to a 4 ohm load it SEES a 2 ohm load on each speaker lead. This is why you can't run a 2ohm stereo stable amp at 2 ohms bridged, that would be like running it 1ohm stereo.
