How do i wire into a 2 ohm load

Braden N. Unregistered guest | I have two 10" audiobahn subs (Dual Bandpass System) and are rated at 4 ohms. If I want a mono amp, can i wire to 2 ohms? Diagrams would be a big help. |

Silver Member Username: CadillacdbHouston , TX Post Number: 192 Registered: Aug-05 | Are they 4 ohms SVC or 4 Ohms DVC...if you want to wire them both together an they are 4 ohms DVC then no you cant get them to present the amp with anything other then a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load ..... but if they are 4 ohms SVC then yes you can wire them together to present the amp with a 2 ohm load .... Silver Member Username: FandimReno, Nevada United State... Post Number: 448 Registered: Jun-05 | most mono amps still have 4 outputs, 2 pos, 2 neg. Both the pos are actually like hte same input, so you could simply wire them normally, to the amp. pos to pos neg to neg. This would give you your 2 ohm load. |
