if your looking to buy an MTX sub buy the 9500 i had one(sold it so i can afford a 5spd conversion) and it was one loud mofo and contrary to popular but unexperienced information it sounded great in a ported box tuned to 32 hertz :-)

yea the 9500 is a good sub, I've heard a 12" before, sounded good. But, like JL stuff, I'd rather buy other stuff for that kinda money

I had the MTX Thunder 942 amp on it..the box was something like 15 1/2" by 14" by 22" and ill miss having the loudest system at my school :-) but I feel that me buying a manual transmission is more important and i sold it to a good friend so i know that it has a good home
