i have a mb quart pwe354 running at 2 ohms for 500 watts on a raa 1000 amp and i had a freind tune it and he is a dj and has a good idea of how to set it up (better then me) he says that its alright for the clip light to come on just as long as it goes out but the light is on a litte to much to me

this is how i can explain it the best take a brake light

The light stays on like a brake its clipping TOO much

the light comes on like a turn signal its okay to a point right

but mine is like right in the middle like stop and go traffic it sounds horrible too, even if its little clipping but i know that sub should sound something like the way it is but it cliping

they say the sub is about to die anyway because it sound like a cricket is in it i want to get rid of them anyway and a re sx 15 or 18 what do u think about the cliping

I personally wouldn't ever want my clip light to come on... You might need to make sure your gains aren't too high, make sure you have reliable current going to your amp, or other things.
Check out www.bcae1.com for a little page on clipping.

I'm fairly new to this, but I seriously don't think that the clipping light should come on at all. Not even a little. My $.02 worth

You should not clip your amp, it is a way of protecting itself, there is something wrong

is the gain set too high?? Start there and see if you can get rid of the problem that way. Make sure your ground is perfect also.
