Greetings,

I've done some research on upgrading wiring with a HO Alternator. I have a Ford Mustang, and got a 200 amp alternator. For rewiring, this is what I found needs upgrading with 0 gauge:

1. Engine to Chassis Ground
2. Alternator to positive battery terminal
3. Battery negative post to chassis ground

Now, I read on an alternator parts website that you should run a ground wire directly from the alternator to the battery.

Let me know what you guys think I need do to.

Thanks,
Eric

i've got a yellow top that has side posts, so i just ran my new 1/0AWG wires to the side posts and left all the stock wireing on the top posts. also connected my power and ground going to the amps in the trunk to the side posts too. for my upgraded engine block to battery ground, i connected it to the alternator mounting bolts and just doubled the size of all the smaller block to chassis ground wires, i had like 4-5 of these that i could get to.
