I have a 92' Chevy Cavalier and would like to buy new speakers. What do I need to buy in order to change the way the sound in my car sounds? I want to get rid of the nasty crackling, and clear up and the sound and make it sound good. What kind of speakers do I need, what else do I need besides speakerS?
New speakers and probably an amp. You can get a set of Infinity Reference or Kappa Perfects for decent prices and with an amp, it'll sound way better than any stock.

if you still got the stock headunit, look at changing that with a good quality HU. DON'T SKIMP ON THE HEADUNIT. have a look at Alpine, Pioneer Premiere, or Eclipse.
and for the speakers, Infinity's got real quality stuff and you can get it real cheap on e-bay.
as time rolls on, you can buy yourself a 4 channel amp to power the 4 infinity speakers to make them sound amazing!!
