I want to make sure that you are aware that if you buy the diamond amp online you will recieve NO service through diamond at all. www.diamondaudio.com
They specifically state that on their website.

I would say the diamond is a MUCH better unit then teh DEI piece. If you decide to buy the diamond at a diamond dealer, and have it installed by them, it will carry a lifetime warranty.

If your only running one sub make sure it is a dual 2ohm sub, for either amp.

The D6s are geared more toward SQ than SPL. They are also optimized for a sealed enclosure more so than a vented one.

As far as service if you buy online, I'm sure Diamond will still fix their products for a price. It's just like any other product you buy online. You have to decide if the outrageous price in an audio shop is worth the warranty. Would you rather take a chance and get the D612D4s for $150 each online, or would you rather get the warranty and pay $350+ per sub at a local shop? It comes down to your budget and pretty much luck as to how long your subs last.
