i hear you talking about how good the W7 is in a HO box, i was just wondering what would happen if you bought a HO box but put a different sub in it like a adire brahma or somthing similar.
the w7, adire brahama, and old RE XXX are all basically the same driver. i.e. it would be nearly impossible to differentiate them in a listening test in the same setup.
well what would happen if you put a ok sub in it like a cvr, type r, eclipse AL, somthing thats decent but not in the same league as a xxx,W7,or brahma.
Dustin, the HO box was designed by JL for W7. If you were to replace it with another brand, then it will no longer fit the design. For example, the port frequency will change as well as the internal volume. You could try and buy the HO box by itself but JL nor it's dealer doesn't want to. Maybe it's in their marketing policy. Here in Canada, the JL dealer refuses to sell the box alone.
