Currently i have a sony 810 head unit and when i try to put my subs to max volume 140+ db the cd player skips/stops when the bass hits. i was told that if i baught this head unit, JVC Arsenal KD-AR960, my problem would stop. is this true and if so is the the best for the price cd player that would fix my prob thanks

It might possibly stop skipping. I know sony isn't a company for quality when is comes to car audio. I would have a look at Alpine, Pioneer Premier, and Eclipse for a descent headunit.
try a back strap brace, but if you have that much bass, there maybe nothing you can do to solve it. Change radios, Panasonic has a good skip protection
