I really like the sound of the UR36S (thats the 3-way system). However, I havent had the chance to hear the Iridium 6.3's. If anyone has heard them please tell me what they thought about them.

I'll be running them with a zapco reference 750.2.

you can check my site (to the left). that's what i run. was actually going to use the 750.2 matched with the 1000.4 to run them actively. too much $.
i love them. best sounding comps ever auditioned. i pushed them passively with 140 watts/ch and it just wasn't enough. it didn't match the dynamics offered by the active set-up.
so now i give each driver 120-140 watts and it's just sweet. changing the location of the drivers currently. when i'm done, it will be ready for competition.
i believe that your 175 watts/ch (actually closer to 200watts) will do the passives greater justice.
i really think you're going to be hard pressed to find a more revealing set of 3-way speakers.

right now i have 2 12" alpine X's with a hifonics 2000watt amp.

Im going to keep those until i save up money, which will probably be next spring. then ill get either get 3 or 4 15" Treo SSi's or 2 15" XXX's with zapco amps.

Im getting everything installed at JML audio in st louis. Its one of the top install places in the US when it comes to treo, zapco, dynaudio, and DSL.

those are nice subs as it is. you going to be competeng at all? if your going to be doing sq, you might want to invest in a processor to optimize your comps and attenuate all that knock your going to have, lol.
i know someone competing quite well using type x's, though.

For a sub amp im really liking the Zapco C2K 9.0
I will be able to bridge it to 4ohm which is 2200 watts. the only problem is that it is expensive as hell...2399 at the place im getting everything done at.

yop. i put mat on my doors and my roof. so far, it's cut out all the flexing. i used two layers.
have you considered using the reference 1100.1?
two of those would work great, 1amp/sub. they do a solid 1200 watts and then some.
www.woofersetc (1-2 yr warranty) has the c2k9 for 1779.00 and the 1100.1 for 770.00. even if you got them from the shop, the reatail savings would be about the same.

Thats not a bad price at all. I like the c2k9 because i can run it at 4ohm instead of 2 and id rather just have one amp. Any idea of how many sqft of dynamat ill need and wheres a good site for it online?

TAKEN FROM WWW.ZAPCO.COM

Zapco Buyers Beware

It has come to our attention again that a company known as Woofers etc. and acaraudio.com is selling Zapco products on the Internet.

We emphatically say Woofers etc. and acaraudio.com are not authorized Zapco dealer. Also, we don't exactly know how it's happening

but amplifiers bought from the two companies and sent to us for repair have lost their original Zapco serial numbers, even

the serial numbers we carefully hide inside each unit. This removal or defacement of the official Zapco serial number

voids Zapco's product warranty completely and borders on legally questionable action. We once again warn all of

you out there to make absolutely certain you are buying a fully warrantable Zapco product by asking to see the

original ARPA of America Warranty Registration Card originally shipped with the unit (a serial number is always

affixed to this card) or ask for the actual serial number and call us to verify its authenticity. Tampered products hurt

you and damage the reputation you've come to expect from Zapco products. Beware and check for an original Zapco

serial number every time you buy Zapco.

A World Wide Problem

Yes they are everywhere making claims. For example, www.caraudiosa in South Africa is not a Zapco distributor, and they are not a Zapco dealer.

The pictures on their web site were stolen directly from our 2002 catalog. Most of the products on the site are at least 3 model years old.

Remember, if you buy product from this type of company you will receive no support from Zapco or from our representative in your country.

If you you have questions about finding our current products at a legitimate reseller, you can check our International Distributor list or mail us at sales@zapco.com
