I am getting 2 12" Punch 3 subs and i was planning on getting a dual 12" Q-Logic Enclosure. I went to Bestbuy to look at them and see if they would fit my trunk and the guy told me that i needed a customized box for The punch 3 subs. Does anyone know if this is true? The subs are Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 3. Does anyone know where i can get a reasonable priced box for these subs? tHanks

If i was you, i would stay away from the rockford P3's and Bestbuy.

They dont "need" a custom enclosure but they would sound alot better with one.

Tell us your price range and we can find you some better subs.

I didnt buy them from Bestbuy because i knew they were a rip there. I got them off of Ebay after a bit of studying for a pretty good price. I have heard them before and they sound nice and this is my first sound system soooo..... Is there anything that you think is wrong with them? Do you have any experience with them? But if i did get them do you know if i could get a Q-logic 12" Dual enclosure? Thanks for the help, i am new to the whole car audio stuff.

Well i guess my question is, if the subs recommended sealed is .75 cubic feet and an enclosure that i am looking at is 1.25 cubic feet, will my subs fit in it or will they be too small?

The box internal volume should be as close as possible to the recommended by the manufacturer. If a box is smaller than what it is supposed to be, the sound will be tighter, but more amplifier power will be required. If the box is too big, then the sound will be muddy.

After looking at the website it looks like i can get a box for about $140 that will fit my subs and my trunk. But on Ebay i could get like a Q-logic box for like $50. Do you think going with the customized box is the best idea?

O and i was wondering, the info at Rockford fosgate .com gives me 141.70 Cubic Inches for the Subwoofer displacement. I think i converted it right but does .082 Cubic feet sound right? And is Depth bottom Mount the same as subwoofer mounting depth?

try and stay away from Q-logic (They make crappy boxes). If u plan on keeping the subs for a while then go ahead and the custom, or find a friend who can make one for free.lol

for the subs the max i want to pay is like 300 for both. Then for the amp about 250-300 and then the rest doesnt matter that much. So i would say about 800-1000.
