A Bridged Amp ?

I was wondering if someone could explain what it means to bridge an amp & how it's done.
If I were to guess I would say on a 2 channel amp you would run both channels to your subs?
If I'm wrong please correct me.

if your 2 channel amp is brideable, connect one of the + to one of the - ur amp should be marked, on some amps the outer is bridged on others its the inner terminals, u just have to check

like u said, u take the two channels and make them 1

i was on here about an hr now & only left for 2 minutes & came back so i was like "AGAIN , Dammit !" - lol

This thing is happening pretty often now ,almost wkly .
