Hi - ive just bought a car and i can't get the stereo to work.
The car was bought form a friend and i knew it played up a bit (as my mate has had problems) but no matter how much i fiddle with it and clean it nothing happens.
I can insert a cassett and the mechanism takes it in, but it doesn't play and the head unit doesn't light up. I can eject the cassett - but again nothing else happens.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with this particualr head unit? Or can anyone please offer any advice? Failing and tips i guess the garage is the next call.
The unit was bought and fitted in 1999 and has worked really well because i've heard it!
