1 alpine type R 12" sub (4+4 ohm DVC) and 1 Alpine MRD-300 amplifier?
that'd be a matched set that you could run right from the Pioneer to round our the system.

So glasswolf, you like alpine's speakers? I already have an alpine HU, components (front), and coax's (back), and am now looking to round out the system with some bass. Do you think I should just keep it in the family and go with alpine amp and subs? I was thinking maybe 10" subs (I heard they are better for sq because the smaller woofer has a quicker response). I am not going for loudness, do you have any reccomendations? (on my cda-9815 the volume usually stays between 18-23, only powered by the internal v-drive)

I suggested alpine in his case because it's of decent quality and affordable.
if you like the alpines go for it.
it really depends on budget.
I love their head units, but know of better amps and subs if ya have the money to spend.
