VS

http://www.treoonline.com/tsx.html

MEMPHIS:M3:
RMS/Peak (W) 400/800
Sensitivity (dB) 95.8
Magnet SIze (oz) 85
Mounting Depth (in) 6.1

TREO:TSX:
RMS/Peak (W) 400/
Sensitivity (dB) 86.15
Magnet SIze (oz) 208
Mounting Depth (in) 6

The Treo has a way bigger maggnet but sensitivity is 86.15 compared to M3 95.8.

M3 has the removable cone:
M3 allows you to easily remove the frame and cone assembly from the custom-tooled motor. So repairs are quick.
I have seen these cones and cartriges for 20-40$
So if i blow my subs I can just replace them myself? this sounds too good to be true. LOL
Do other manufactures offer this feature?
Cause this is a big advantage.

I can get 2 M3s for 300$ shipped
I can get 2 Tsx for 320$ pickup

I know muddy would pick the Tsx, and I was goin to, but the removable cone feature sounds great.
Muddy check the specs on both subs..

Trying to make final decision on subs. I like the replaceable cone.

For example:

I don't have anything better to do now so i'm hangin out on this forum ...Upload

Only other company that i can think off would be kicker with their square subs.

Muddy knows alot about Treo since he hangs around his install shop alot helping out & is familiar with them . He's prolly @ work/school right now, usually comes on here around nightime .....

I just hate having blown subs. This could be a cheap fix, alternative! If I could fix my own sub in 1hr, I will get it! But im not trying to worry about the sub blowning either..

hey guys can i get a quick answer or just a little help

ok what about this would this be 1 ohm or 2 ohm. or .5 ohm
i already have two pos. and neg. wires from my amp ready for my speakers. when the place installed my amp they droped wires for both my speakers (one pos. and neg. for each). and if i want to change it to one for both i will have to take my back seat out. so i'm trying to not do that. ok heres what i was thinking....

my subs are 2ohm dvc, if i wire each of them seprately parallel they will be 1 ohm each. my question is since they're both 1 ohm seperate, remember it's in two channel, will the amp be putting out 1 ohm, 2 ohm, or .5 ohm resistance?

Its a 2 channel amp, what is it stable at?

if u wire 2ohm dvc in parallel it will yeild 1ohms!

If you put both of those subs in parallel (changing them to 1 wire) you end up with 1/2 ohm = .5ohm

I doubt that amp is even 1ohm stable!
.5 ohms will kill that amp!

sensitivity ratings mean Jack.....when it comes to putting the sub in a custom enclosure, and adding hundreads of watts. the sensitivity ratings are with 1 watt free-air if 'm not mistaken.

i really don't like the orange either. i suppose if you plan on blowing the subs out of the box on a monthly basis, then get the Memphis, but if you want great sounding, and a quality subwoofer, then get the Treo:-)
