you may not have to double bridge it really depends on the ohms and the voice coil we have to know what those are in order to help.

Just turn the gain all the way up! It would sound loud as h3ll.

if its 4ohm u can run it in parallel, bridge the amp and it would give u a 2 ohm load

you have two methods:

first, you can run it in series. that is to say series connect the two speakers firstly. then connect to the amp.

second, you can run it in parallel.that is to say connect the anode of both speakers to the amp. and connect the cathode of both speakers to the amp.

i am not sure if i express well. perhaps you can discuss with me at panyali@hotmail.com

If your speakers are both DVC, you amp can't taking on. You need at least two amps.

if his amp is 1 ohm stable it will work

but its power is not enough. Normally speaking, the power of amp should larger or at least the same with power of speaker.

His subs and his amp are both overrated, so maybe 20-50 watts will not be that big of a deal, not to the exstint of buying a second amp

yes, as you said, both of his subs and amp are overrated.
However,if the rated power of amp is less than speakers, either amp or speaker will burn out.

first of all, read the following penny pan. http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/speakerpwr.html . second, under powering the speakers will only damage them if you put the gain to far up on the amp and cause it to send a clipped signal. Many speakers can sound just fine with less than their RMS rating. Third, the amp won't "burn out" becuz its powering speakers that can take more power. The only way to do this is if you wire the amp down past its lowest ohm rating, like wiring it down to 1 ohm if its only 2 ohm stable. Clipping is what damages under powered, or any sub. www.bcae1.com is also a good site to read up on clipping futher in depth.

Check main fuse under hood (assuming you have one), make sure yer battery cables are on right (ford uses the same color cables on it's cars, and if someone happens to replace a ground cable with red wiring, it can be a bad deal, ask me how I know..), more than likely you just burnt a fuse or 2, worse case tho is a burnt wiring harness, but don't assume the worst...and yes it's possible for them to destroy battery/alternator but it generally takes a long time..
